What is an Area of Benefit (AOB)?
An AOB is a traffic mitigation fee program designed to improve the capacity and safety of the road network within a defined boundary area as development occurs. The AOB fee programs are supported by County ordinances which are adopted by the County Board of Supervisors. Money collected within a given AOB will be used to fund road improvement projects that mitigate traffic impacts generated by new development projects.
The Alamo AOB is being updated by a consultant team hired by the county. A series of community meetings have been held to inform Alamo residents of the updates to the Alamo AOB. Community input regarding proposed projects was taken at these meetings.
The following are the agendas, slide presentations and Q&A summaries for the community meetings.
